No, hell no. Generating is where you have your computer compute the hashes for new bitcoins.

It's very CPU intensive.
If you have a spare computer go for it.

Probably a fraction of a cent depending on the buyer. You can't take "bitcoin" to a bank so there's no actual exchange rate.
