i haven't been scared in minecraft since i began playing it. the only reason i was slightly scared was because back then stuff was simple. you had a sword, you hit the mobs with it and the died. the mobs hit you and you die. you got no pork? you're not getting health. you got no stone? you're not getting pork. that added to the fact that i barely knew the game.
