-25% projectile range
so basically
You fire from a pool of ammo, 175 shots, in exchange for firing speed and syringes fire in a worse arc

so you sacrifice being able to kill things with a weapon that you would only use in an absolute emergency for being able to shoot a much worse version of the same weapon endlessly

what would be cool is a primary 'weapon' that could protect you in a pinch if you needed it at the cost of ubercharge, so it never goes entirely to waste: for instance, when you sustain a would-be lethal hit while your meter is over X, the weapon cuts your ubercharge to a third and heals you and your patient depending on how much charge you just lost. the drawback, of course, would be that someone on the other team could 'force' an ubercharge and cause you to suddenly cut your meter: which is less of a stat debuff and more of a logical weakness
