you can try running it in DX level 8 to reduce lag.
that's what i do. the graphics dumb down, but you can play.

So I just got kicked from a server which I sort of play on regularly, maybe I pissed off an admin...
Probable because I said something along the lines of this.
"Holy jesus semen you chuckeforget medic stop strapping yourself on the back of that heavy and heal your other teammates like the scout on fire with 6 hp right behind you."
The Medic actually stabbed me a couple of times with the Vita-Saw thinking I was an enemy before he healed me at the brink of death.
