They talked about this stuff for a while. The blimp is used by the Vox Populi to launch missiles and attack you. You must destroy it so they can't abuse it. It's like when Luke blew up at AT-AT.

Sky-Hook? You didn't notice that from all the articles on the game, and the last gameplay? They've changed it a lot since that one, actually. A lot cooler looking. But it's more a transportation device than melee like suggested also.

I remember the old one, it didn't feel like you could last 5 seconds in the air with it but now it looks like something I could survive with.
