But I paid the people back for them or like did something for them to apologize.

That's forgeted up that they didn't offer to help pay for a new one or anything. Whether I had the money or not I couldn't even live with the fact if I had broken someone's piece, I would instantly offer to pay them back in full as soon as I had the money
