The Dictatorship of Benofdoom is a tiny, safe nation, renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 12 million are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The enormous, corrupt government juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 31%. A healthy private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Cheese Exports and Gambling.

Meat is a luxury afforded only to the wealthy, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, military spending is on the increase, and citizens select which government department gets their income tax Moneys each year. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Benofdoom's national animal is the pig, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Money.

Its hard-working population of 6 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The tiny government is effectively ruled by the Department of Religion & Spirituality, with areas such as Defence and Law & Order receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 13%. A robust private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Retail, and Furniture Restoration industries.

Genetic researchers have been expelled, citizens are barcoded to keep track of their movements, voting is voluntary, and the mining industry is making inroads into environmentally sensitive areas. Crime is relatively low. Hintuia's national animal is the Buzeebl, and its currency is the Cronbuk.

Its hard-working, intelligent population of 16 million are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The small government juggles the competing demands of Religion & Spirituality, Law & Order, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 10%. A large private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Door-to-door Insurance Sales and Retail.

Gambling is outlawed, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region, and bicyclists are banned from major roads. Crime is a major problem. Sythril's national animal is the Gray Panther, and its currency is the Yew.
