Yes, this thread again, except this time it's not dying, and I will personally make sure of that!

What goes in this thread;

Show off your personal fashion, show off your favorite stores/websites to purchase clothes from, discuss/critique other peoples opinions. Essentially anything related to your style, fashion etc etc just don't be a douche.


Style;

Your style is a black/white description of yourself, if you wear black tight jeans with chains and a black t-shirt that says "forget the world" on it, people will look at you and assume that you're just a rebel, if you wear plaid shorts with flip flops and a button up people will assume you're either off of the west-coast or 'douchey'. Your fashion sense is how people will judge you at first glance, and it needs to be personalized. This means that find your own style, personalize it, and make it your own.

Differentiating styles;

The mainstream styles out there that most people could recognize (and the only ones that are available off of the top of my head) are;

Hipster
Preppy
Douche
Emo/Scene/Goth
Athlete.


Getting your style;

Just go for it, don't try too hard. There isn't really much to say for this.


Pricing;

Don't spend $150 on a pair of shoes that aren't that great, you only bought them for the brand name and for bragging rights, you have to enjoy them, know they're comfy, and be happy and proud of them. The same goes for everything, just because a pair of pants costs $250 doesn't mean they're comfy.

Sales;

They're your best friend. I spend way more money than I should on my clothes, so when I find a sale for my favorite brands, I go batstuff crazy and buy all that catches my eye.


If your budget is tight;

If you're tight on money, then you can always go to stores like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Valu-Mart and other stores like that. You can find an $85 shirt for $25.

I honestly don't care much for fashion at all. I wear what seems to look decent. Usually that's jeans and a t-shirt, maybe a jacket, but that's dependent on the weather obviously.

I wear slacks (or cargo pants, but I hate the notion of cargo pants) or jeans and collared button-down shirts.  I despise logos.  And a white undershirt if I can.
I generally forget what I'm wearing because I hardly ever actually pay attention to it, I just grab whatever two long-sleeved things I see.
I would wear nice shoes but they leave marks on the ground at school, and I wear ties occasionally.

Modesty is a uniquely human trait in that regard, whether or not it's learned or genetic we'll probably never know.

I wear either baggy-ish cargo shorts or basketball-esque shorts. For my shirts I wear T-shirts without a logo, but if I do wear a logo on it, it is usually NYPD or Montauk or some other place in NY I have visited. I only wear sneakers with ankle socks. I hate flip-flops.

I wear fitting clothes.

My pants are usually slim-fit, tapered or straight cut jeans. I wear skinnies as well. I usually wear cardigans, sweaters, over a basic tee. I also wear things such as track-tops, or hoodies on occasion.

I have 4 pairs of sneakers I wear on a frequent basis, and 3 pairs of casual shoes I wear as well.
