Author Topic: Crosshairs  (Read 10813 times)

There will be cookies. I agree.
Until then, I recommend crossPick and your own choice.
I edited crossPick, too, and made it hold 20 crosshairs. I already filled it, I believe.

Added another.
I kinda ran out of ideas, but there's not a lot to be done with crosshairs.
I might try a hexagonal one.

I don't care about any flame I get about posting more crosshairs out of the UI dump, but I just wanted to put them on my own topic.
Simple as that.

Comment, comment, comment!

Note: these crosshairs are only 32X32, no matter how complicated they seem. They are not in any way overly detailed.
I could do better...

I fully support you and your crosshair making, You know why? Because anyone who says "Crosshairs aren't add-ons" and "they take up space for something so small/useless" and whatnot, It's just ignorant, Really it is. If someone popular on the forums like pandan or whoever posts something like.... a Custom Handgun made from scratch, Are you going to troll him for post ONE thing and using a new forum post? Didn't think so, Yet if someone you don't know posts 10 or 5 or however many crosshairs or ui edits, you'd explode on them like they're really doing something wrong. Now while you go around trying to "Moderate" (Not quoting anyone specifically), Don't bother, That's Badspot and epialtes' job's. Trust me they're pretty on top of things, So if crosshairs and ui edit's weren't add-ons, They would've been gone a LONG time ago, And they would have had their own sections. Now if anyone wants to argue with me what an "Add-on" is, Do it, I have a definition and a site.
http://www.techterms.com/definition/addon
Quote from: TechTerms
An add-on is a software extension that adds extra features to a program. It may extend certain functions within the program, add new items to the program's interface, or give the program additional capabilities. For example, Mozilla Firefox, a popular Web browser, supports add-ons such as the Google toolbar, ad blockers, and Web developer tools. Some computer games support add-ons that provide extra maps, new characters, or give the player game-editing capabilities.
What's a crosshair do, Replaces the one you already have, Thus adding something to the game's interface. Now people would argue "It's not ADDING, it's changing, well yes and no, although it may be altering the interface, the crosshair still needs to be put into the game, thus the adding, It's more of a subtract & add.

If someone popular on the forums like pandan

No.

-rage-

Now to use your own tactic of argument against you.

If there's a topic about small UI edits like these and it hasn't been taken down, then why is it still here?

Why is this topic here?
I don't know if that's what you meant, but if that's it, it's simply I want a little recognition.
I recognize how stupid and egotistical that is, but, nonetheless, this topic is here.
I personally thought that the crosshairs were pretty good.
Thanks, Beefy.

Edit: found out that USSN GHOST got flamed out of his crosshair addon thread. Whoops.

This is pretty small, though, to have its own topic, in the midst of another topic made for things like this, don't you think?
what does it look like? is it really that small?

What? The crosshairs weren't what he was referring to when he was describing size. I believe that the number of crosshairs was the issue at hand. However, they are just as small as they appear to be in the images. Happy?
