how do i open the console?

Bitmining is definatly not for me, as internet costs by the gigabyte over here.

fuuuck there goes 20 gigabytes

If I get all my school's computers mining for me, could I get caught and backtraced...?

Because my school has a bunch of macbook pros, each with decent videocards that can output 20mhashes/s.

multiply that by like 40 of them and you get like 800mhashes/s

I'm never going to do this, but I'm just thinking hypothetically because daydreaming is ridiculously fun.

all of my schools computers are worse than a new HTC android phone.

you could convince the school to work with you and split the profits, schools need the money anyway.

It seems like the cost of electricity to keep all of those computers running would be more than the profit you'd make from bitcoin mining.

The school would most definitely not agree for a number of reasons.

Primarily,

That's debatable.

If I scrapped all of them to the barebone motherboards, wouldn't they consume less power because they wouldn't need to run fans (Because they are right in the open, so I could just put fans in the room). My school is poor because it's a charter, so I doubt even all the gpus from the macbooks would cover it.

and I'm not even sure if they are compatible.

I have .11 bitcoins :D when I get back from vacation I am going to buy another gpu. Otis, are you solo mining or pool mining?

Hey guys, how should I aim my fan at this iMac that has a pretty good GPU. Aiming this big fan directly at the back keeps the temperature from rising slower, but it eventually gets too hot. This is the type of desktop where the computer components are built in near the monitor, so it looks like one big monitor. So yeah, what's the most efficient way of cooling it? should I put the monitor on top of the fan? aim it sideways? point it down into the vent? what? :c

Bitcoin mining uses whatever the TDP of your video card is since it is cranking at 100% usage. This is why it bitcoin mining with a CPU is stupid besides the fact that it just processes less.

Is there any way I can lower the amount of cycles diablogpu uses, because right now I can't keep the temperature stable, and I don't want to fry my GPU.
