well, i just don't have the motivation to do it due to everyone's complaints. i'd rather start fresh on a new weapon, even though i took loving days to make this unappreciated model.

EDIT: plus, the whole first impression of "god damn, another stupid gun add-on" puts this below average. i don't even think it's worth making more guns.

EDIT2: especially people like you, bushido, etc. put me to shame with your packs that could even do better individually than what i make. like i said, what's the point? it's just going to get thumbs-downed by lots of people, and repeatedly criticized even for what it's good at.

EDIT3: the whole "practice makes perfect" bit doesn't apply. not here, it doesn't, because the community always expects you to be at the top of your game. in that sense, i'm stuck. why try?
Not other add-on makers put you to shame as you say it, the community is doing that. They compare everything with everything. And if you don't practice you can't get better. Neither will you come forward if you practice but think it has no use. And what the community thinks isn't everything. Don't let the community put pressure on you. Don't care if the community expects something from you and what. Why should you?

well, to be honest... not to bore you with some stuff you'd really not be able to care less about, but i had no friends when i was younger, not until i was like... 12, and with that, i was socially incapable. that usually comes with being incredibly insecure out of the ordinary. i just simply don't know how to not care, so even the slightest of things hit me pretty hard.

):

If you think you can do any better
I KNOW I can do a LOT better.

and seriously, suck it up. The critique I gave was only useful. Those are the same rules I follow when I model.

Hmm yeah I understand. Actually when I was younger I had a problem with just ignoring things, too. I got used to it after a (long) while...

I KNOW I can do a LOT better.

Was it really necessary to show off like that?

I doubt.

Was it really necessary to show off like that?
I never get an actual invitation to do so. "If you think you can do any better" is a blatent challenge to me.

Yeah, I see...

I KNOW I can do a LOT better.
let's see these pics of proof, mr. inconsistent detail.

ooh, look at the detail of that barrel...

...and then 6 sides.

may not have been as harsh as that one dude who said that the hands were simply horrible and gave not much more word about it, but what you said was still not entirely constructive.

Enough screenshots for one gun? -_-
not useful critique
here's an example. you decide to just bash me for creating a lot of screenshots. if you don't consider it bashing, my friend says that "-_-" emoticon all the time, and for me, it's a strong implication of being annoyed or mad. i may have taken most of your critique in a negative way, but i just wasn't having a good time at that time, and i'm sure you can relate with some situations. you can't always respond like you're the most emotionally stable person in the world. something eventually happens and that something could be what causes you to break. in my case, in the above post, i mentioned being insecure. all of these short comments saying nothing but negative stuff about this add-on eventually pushed me off the edge.

in short, if you don't get what i'm saying, i'm sorry.

barrel is consistent with the model. Nothing is wrong with the second.

Notice how I didnt take 12 screenshots for 1 gun. 4 pictures for 4 guns is completely reasonable.

The advice I gave was useful, and you were a richard about it. When people are richards, Im a richard back. That's how the internet works. Deal with it.

EDIT: Didnt seem like a sorry to me at first; I now see it. It's cool.

But seriously, try some of the things I mentioned. Those principles are what took me from making stuff to making... good stuff. :cookieMonster:

not between your works. with the theme each model is sustaining, i'm given the implication this may be part of a pack.

just as reasonable as 12 screenshots, right?
on my previous add-on, people were wanting more screens. i gave them more there, and i'm giving more here. different angles, and more shown of the gun.

The advice I gave was useful
read the above post about the screenshots

you can't simply take an entity as big as the internet and put it in a nutshell like that. some people don't act as vengeant as others, and in turn, there are different scenarios for different people. what i say can have much more variation, but i'm not really going to get into that.

also, you apparently missed my apology in the above post. i told you i'm sorry.

Probably shouldve made that more obvious; "apology accepted".

posted before the edit. my bad.

can do. i don't think i really shine at modeling, though. i find animation to be a lot funner.

Oh, animating is a lot of fun. What sucks is the actual rigging process, particularly for playertypes.

hey guys
go be starfishs to each other somewhere else

Why try you ask?
Because, some people actually think this is very well put together! Just because what a group says, or their opinion is, doesn't mean it has to affect what you do.
