I'm making a mallet weapon for retail, acts similar to a sword. In third person, the minifig swings his hand to attack. In first person, he doesn't. Why?

In the image datablock, remove the line that says "eyeOffset = <somenumbers>;"

Alternately, you can add a detail level 9999 into your model and animate that seperately.  Detail level 9999 only shows in first person.

Well, I don't feel like animating, so I'll go with the eyeOffset option.
