melee weapon tutorials?

does any one know of a good blender tutorial on how to make a good melee weapon?

edit: and also does anyone know how big i have to make the blockhead hands for the weapon?

The handle has to be 3x3 little squares. Like, there are big grid squares, and then smaller ones inside of that.
