Author Topic: .dif + mission editor = Kitchen?  (Read 2406 times)

I've made a test map a long time ago, and I figured that if I load up kitchen, and use the mission editor to delete everything in there, and place my own map (.dif) in it, I could save and it would all work out fine.

But it didn't when I try to save the .ter file, and when I try to play my map,
it always shows up as Kitchen.
So I'm wondering what the hell do I do with my .dif to make it not show kitchen in the map menu.
Please help.
Thank you.

Also, how do I get an .ml file?
I think I'm missing that in order to run the map properly.

BUMP
Anyone please help?
I have a map I want to test in Blockland but can't because of this...

Hmm... Check the map.mis to see if the map name is called kitchen and also check for a kitchen.dif. Also the .ml files are map lighting so if you make a new map and it says "lighting mission" it creating a .ml file.

The MissionInfo object contains the name that will be displayed for your map.  The .ml files contain lighting data and are generated automatically by the game when the mission loads.

Thanks.
But how exactly would I edit that to make it say what I want?

Have a qwick look though that should tell you how to change the names.
