Zombies are immune to bodily damage. BB Guns won't even break skin let alone the human skull. It would take a professional Baseball player a couple swings with a Metal baseball bat to bust the skull open.

Also, it's pretty obvious the owner of the store would have some kind of precautions to keep people from breaking in (IE gated windows, locked doors, bulletproof windows) Not to mention he would probably be there, defending his guns. Using any gun he wanted.
Have fun getting in there.

And if you tried Walmart, You'd die from all of the infected others that already tried to break into a store. This is why it's better to hit local stores.

I'd run to the building my dad works at. It's a Medicinal Factory and has several backup diesel generators that could power the whole plant for a week. Down that to only the newest building and you've got a month or so's worth of power. plus there isn't much in it yet and it has a huge warehouse inside of it. It has a state of the art air purification system in it too so that if there were any pathogens in the air, they'd only exist in the room for several seconds before they were sucked away. conveniently, it sucks away farts too.

You will certainly get stuck in traffic by people eventually leaving their cars due to slow traffic and impending doom.
