I tried using <var:cl:Wood> in a centerprint(and yes I already has a variable wood with me) and it does not work.

are you sure that you didn't use a player variable, but a client one?

It works if I put OnActivate>Client>Centerprint><var:cl:Wood>
on a different brick, but not on the brick I want it to be on.
