There's a good side to the answer of that question, and then there's a bad side to it

Good side: Usually along the lines of being well animated, having parts where it's interesting or just silly

Bad side: 4Chan/Bronies

Okay I get that it is well animated, but is that just all?
I tried watching the first two episodes awhile back, I just couldnt stand it.. almost all of it was boring and nothing seemed funny..

Then perhaps you should have worded your question differently. Right now you're implying everyone obsesses over them, which is not the case. Some people are obsessed, but the quiet majority is what makes up most of the fanbase.

If you don't like it, you shouldn't force yourself to like it, if you don't like it, then that's fine

I'm quiet most of the time, but since this is a thread for it, I might as well post some pony stuff.
