okay so "Meghan McCarthy" was the writer of the finale. (she recently got a twitter for those who care)
she also wrote the following episodes

Season One: Dragonshy, Call of the Cutie, Green Isn't Your Color, Party of One
Season Two: Lesson Zero, Sweet and Elite, Hearts and Hooves Day, and of course, A Canterlot Wedding

not a bad list of stories.

i don't wish to speak ill of the writers, but Merriwether Williams is the only one of them whose episodes have lacked in interest.
her episodes were The Mysterious Mare Do Well, Hearth's Warming Eve, Putting Your Hoof Down, and Dragon Quest. out of those four, two of them made the main character look terrible, one was interesting for the history lesson only, and the other was just a dull episode.


speaking of Season Three, once again I am reminded that this will be the first season without Lauren Faust. I sure hope they do fine.
