There actually 2 reasons. The 1st, as they discussed, I just find it irritating when people compare the bronies and furries to be very alike. The 2nd, I don't really feel safe in the furry fandom any longer. The fandom consists almost entirely of adults, and research is pretty much all I ever see in the fandom nowadays.

You would have felt safe in it in the 90's, ever since that your fandom has degraded horribly.
