When you're banned, you're just banned from the forums. Regardless of temporary or permanent, it isn't revoked unless the user has done something extreme. (this could be any number of reasons) It is not often that this happens on the forums.

You might eventually get IP banned (another severe case), but for the most part people just pop another $20 to come back.

take several minutes in an image editing program (such as Gimp) copy-pasting the face onto the many different layers (you'll likely have to use the "merge down" option to properly do this with Gimp)
resizing to your liking
