May I ask, from a brony's perspective, what's so interesting about freaking ponies?

the interest comes from the enjoyment of the show. (/obvious)
there's not some complicated reason, we enjoy it like you would enjoy Adventure Time or any other cartoon/tv show. (it's as simple as you either like what you're watching, or you don't!) since the community is very large and active on the internet and not confined to our televisions (which most of us can't watch it on TV anyway), we gather up and have further enjoyment discussing or viewing things related to it. that is why you see more people actively discussing it, unlike other small shows.
