to actually complete the story of the game you have to spend somewhere around $200 in real-world money on Gemsso forget that
how is that a joke
sounds like a scam lol
[](/a27) This is pretty much spot on, in my opinion. The Gameloft game is a naked cash grab. It provides exceptionally little entertainment for the amount of work (or money!) it requires. There's very little satisfaction to be had in playing the same minigames over and over again. The costs to proceed throughout the game get increasingly more ridiculous, and the constant push to spend *real* money to overcome them is ever-present. The price tags are just ludicrous. More than that, though, the game will actively *punish* you and strip away your funds by invading your town with boulders, frightening trees, and parasprite swarms - All of which require time and resources that you must divert away from your primary goals. This isn't really a game. It's a straight-up shake-down. [](/b32) Which is why I had no problem breaking out the hex editor and going to town on the game's XML files. Once I had a plentiful supply of gems, I could focus on just building a cute town with awesome ponies having fun interactions with each other. No boring grinding, no cash-grabs, just sort of a screen-saver type city-building experience.
