this evening tosh.0 featured a segment on subreddits, and one of them was, for some reason, /r/clopclop (which as some of you may already know is the...ahem...NSFW art sub for MLP)

he showed some images on his board thing (all of them featuring ponies doing...adult activities) and one of them was an image of rainbow dash doing something unsavory with fluttershy's uncensored lower half

tl;dr -- uncensored pony research was shown on television and people are not happy about it

People always find something to complain about, it's just another aspect of life. I really don't see the issue with people liking clop or any other research out there but my loveual views are extremely fluid so I suppose I am biased.

while people like you and me who either don't give a damn or haven't told people about their involvement in the fandom may not be affected by this, the major problem comes when people who express themselves as fans of the show make contact with people who know little about the fandom other than what the media (e.x. tosh) has told them, leading to some unpleasant confrontations

naturally people can always try to ignore such things, but it's not always that easy; a lot of fans are in high school and high school students are relentlessly brutal

it's going to be a very tough week/month/year for some people starting tomorrow

perhaps I'm making a bigger deal out of this than I should but I know what people can be like

I think this is a chance for the fandom to really shine. All people need to do is just be the bigger person, explain when and what they need to, and not cause some big fight about it. It's a fandom, there's always going to be some research involved. This isn't the first children show to have it as well.

Perhaps it's for the best that this gets more attention, the masses always seem so uptight about issues like these.

It might be that I'm physically and mentally exhausted, but I think this could be a really good thing for the fandom. Not that clop is good or bad. Not that the media and publicity are good or bad, just that it gives us more time to shine. show off that even though it exists, it doesn't change what the fanbase was founded on.

yeah, those anti-clop national socialists should think about cleansing their image rather than the research, thats what seems to give them to most flak from people.

I mean if the fandom toned down sometimes and wasn't so hyper then maybe we wouldn't be generalized as those people.
