The balance of power, yes, there was one. Remember that Twilight's element only works when given the context of the others. There is a leader among them, but the leader is not so far above them as to form a disconnect. That will no longer be the case.
That was part of my point. There are/ will be bad fanfictions that illustrate just how bad this show could go.

There are also absolutely amazing fanfictions of all genres just to show how great it all could be. All the elements only work when they're together, but Twilight has always been way OP for a unicorn. THE RD of unicorns really. A bit OP? Yeah okay lol.
