yeah
it was a 15 minute sketch

not going for gold here, or even 100% accuracy lol
just capturing the general pose (and replacing celestia with fluttershy), i believe it's called gesture drawing

it's also the first sketch, which is why it is so ugly. i typically post the second sketch, which fixes up most of the errors (this would have essentially been the undersketch). also why it only took a quarter-hour instead of an hour.

i tried to quickly mimic the pose while the image was fresh in my head

(apparently this took me ~15 minutes)

Even still, the sooner you can do something on three or less tries and have it look alright, the sooner you can move on to fine detail. Plus, ever sketch criticism can be helpful. Chest it too tubular and the left is sticking out too much.

For example if you want to see my first and second sketch, that changeling queen's body was a first sketch and her head+the rule 63 big mac head were second sketches.

this thread does need a lot more spitfire.

everything i've posted lately takes two rounds of sketching. first round is always a rough sketch/undersketch, then the second is the fixed/detailed sketch.
so i don't see the point in criticism of an initial sketch that isn't focusing on accuracy or details, rather mental placement (of course, from what i've noticed my undersketches are far more detailed than others)

though i rarely ever re-visit these sketches anyway

bleh, i must figure out how to get past this sketch phase D:

flipped their stuff on rarity and luna, telling me they were going back to the store as soon as possible.

What richards. Lol, but that's cool that you're friend was super cool and bought you those.

I just realized...

when was the last time we had a image dump focused on a specific pony?

i did celestia-twilight some 30 pages ago if that counts

So I drew A head.

Then i colored said head, But i prefer the uncolored one.

Hrm, i should really start working my way down to the bodies.

I can tell i'm improving a bit, this one didn't take me as long as a previous head...

Blast, you know the one, Mr 1-uper.

I wish I could draw better
I guess I like my doodles

I've always preferred my black and white drawings/sketches to my colored works. I don't have a full idea as to why, but I just feel like i can get across so much more emotion when i have to put it all into details instead of some splotch of red for a blush.

i tried, there are so many loveually suggestive images for Spitfire it's almost shocking

I saw one of her and rainbow dash just
god I don't know what to think anymore
