Twilight is a golem created by Celestia to save Luna apparently, reading some ancient books after 2 of her legs and almost chopping one off with an axe in a horrible fall (which magically healed when she was unconscious, a trait of golems), she realizes that she may actually be a golem, which pretty much breaks down and lashes out violently under too much stress, which she had done in the story. I haven't read much further than that.
