it's just a mentality that both the fans and members of this forum have placed. they seem to think they are required to keep it in one topic when they really do not have to. when something escapes, an escapade of hissy-fit babies start crying about how "the bronies are not keeping their stuff in their topic" when they never had to to begin with.
the other reason is the few members who start to yammer, slander, and make on-the-spot accusations based off the fandoms minority and the fans decide to try and defend themselves over nothing. this in turn gives the other side ammo to try and keep a forum-monopoly of "no-X-fandom stuff anywhere outside of X" because the fans generally make themselves look more stupid.
in all reality, you can post any damn My Little Pony reaction image you want. you might get a drama topic, you might get a few users screaming down your throat, but it doesn't matter if you simply don't care. the reason the former exists is because they decided to target this fandom more so than another/

although this whole thing has gone on longer with all the arguing
Also the fact that it's just one big baby, two of tony's roostersuckers, and some idiots that rage and take it too far with all the drama
