Go to Options on the Tampermonkey icon, click the script, click the Settings tab

it's the same as whether I had clicked it or just left it the way it was

All I can say is make sure the script is actually enabled (green bubble next to the script) and try clearing the CSS cache (Tampermonkey icon -> GrEmB - Clear CSS Cache)

Otherwise you must have some extension or program interfering with it, there's nothing else I can help you with

You can try some of the older versions if you really want to but you may be missing some newer emotes and they're not guaranteed stable
