I own neither but I would prefer PS3 because from what I've seen it has less FPS oriented games than Xbox.

I personally wouldn't trust Sony for stuff anymore.

They kept their user's information, including passwords, completely unencrypted, in plain text.

They were encrypted and they shutdown the network before anyone stole stuff.
I've had a ps3 for 4 years and honestly it is way better In thoose four years it only got hacked once which was recently. There are WAY less annoying 12 year olds because as stated before It doesn't bring a mic with it .Good exclusives also the ps3 is build better in the sense that it can connect to the internet from anywhere in the house wired or wireless While my new xbox slim can't connect right next to the router :/

I had the EXACT same problem (I own an Xbox and is it worth getting a PS3).  I am actually ending up getting a gaming pc instead.

Actually, graphics do matter slightly. Let's say there's a new game and it's super good and stuff, would you buy it if all characters in the game was a bunch of horribly modeled richards wobbling around?

Ps3 doesn't give you that perfect circle sratch should you tip it over.

Xbox you don't have to wait 5 minutes jacking off waiting for your new game while it loads blu ray.

Unless your eyes and or TV suck, then yes there is a huge difference.
