Actually, the criminal just realizes how stupid the crime was, then used his favorite video game as a scapegoat.  Because it's just embarrassing when the judge asks "why did you do this?" and all you can think of is "I dunno, lol."

not if you're the guardian of the child, if you aren't the guardian of the child or you don't have expressed and sound permission from the guardian it is extremely illegal to spank a child.

no, they didn't kill him, but they got him with a stun gun or something, when they questioned him he said he was clearly mimicking the game. They searched his apartment and found no evidence of psychotic behavior. He sounded like a normal guy with no mindless killing agenda.
