Having better lighting would make the game somewhat more desirable to some players.
But it's also somewhat trivial because graphical changes don't outweigh bugfixes and such.

"This game has great lighting, but it's buggy as heck!"

"This game's lighting isn't that great, but it doesn't have many bugs at all."

I don't think Torque engines ever had really good lighting.

is there a limit to how much you can do to torque or is it completely open source where it could be completely added on to and re done?

I think Badspit has the source code, so he can do whatever.

And what we need is "Per Pixel Lighting".
Every modern DirectX 9 compatible graphicscard can do this in hardware.
per pixel lighting would also allow us to use bumpmapping for studs.
Along with this support, badspot should add anti-aliasing settings in-game.
