Alright, I've decided to get Ultimate General.

Now, which is better? Wargame: European Escalation or Rome: Total War?

EE has a dying community since most have moved on to RD which is a different animal than what the franchise was meant to be. It's not bad, but I think you will get more out your money with the TD franchise. Wargame's devs are going through a French nationalistic/autistic phase at the moment.
