Played Multi-player beta, twas pretty good, but if things get better, I'll get BF3 when my internet connection gets fixed.
For now, i"m returning the one I have (fresh, not even opened) to gamestop in exchange for MW3. Yes, I know, but they have the survival wave mode, that should keep me good until I can play online decently.

The hit detection is apparently client-sided, so laggy players shouldn't be a problem.

Lemme explain laggy for me
I am unable to move from point A to B for about five minutes of the round.
It takes 10 minutes or longer to find a match.
I leave the XBox dashboard open with nothing running, and I automatically get disconnected.
I'm the ONLY one with bad reception.
Constant host migrations and server connection loss.
ZSNO:
NPCs no likely ZSNO and spam grenades at him.

...no, that's actually a huge problem. Client-sided hit detection means that you think you are hitting them when you aren't. Hit markers show up and everything as you unload a full mag into someone's face, and then they pop you once and you see that they had full health.
