People need to realise c4 has been planted and either disarm it or get out of their tank

I think by the time they get out and find the C4 you would have already respawned and killed them.

Actually no, whenever me and Defialed got C4 on our tank, we'd have plenty of time for one of us to get out, lob a grenade and blast off the C4.
