im assuming bf4 is supposed to be set literally just a few months after bf3, also don't expect to just be fighting russia again, they're clearly bringing in china.
as for what BF4 will be running on, it will be running on PS3, and Xbox 360, and the next-gen consoles.
@fred, they're adding lots of more of physics improvements, if you noticed in the 17 minutes of gameplay, they distinguished building being clobbered by a grenade launcher, and i'm assuming you'll be able to dive underwater in this game now, with a full underwater floor model. i'm assuming they're also increasing the draw distance, and increasing the quality of their textures. normal maps like caspian border and op. firestorm are now going to be different maps only 1.5x the size they were in BF3

they add campaigns to appeal to the gamers interest other than just multiplayer, and also it provides a first-person perspective on to why you're fighting in those multiplayer maps.
Artificial Blocko:
I feel the campaign is going to be more open and less linear, and the charcters will have some personality.

BF3 characters had personalities, but it felt like you didn't know them, maybe BF4 will be different.

Actually the campaign should pick up right where it left off. There was a sudden discussion after most people finished the story at the end. I wont spoil it for those of you who (for some reason) didnt finish bf3 campaign but right as the scene fades at the end seemingly like all is peaceful, bf4 actually starts with the "certain something" actually triggering in the middle of the "certain city" you just saved. Thats why the endingwas so sudden and people thought it sucked. They cut it off as to show part 1 was to be continued.
