Edit: Wait.. the posts from here to when I first found this bug mention nothing of any fixes to the issues I had. ..Where are you getting this from?

Well, you started it. I found the problem and fixed it. Is NO BIG DEAL

I didn't like the lighting.  Bite me.  You get pissed when anyone says anything less than "Wonderful server."

As it is right now, I hate the server.  You can tell me to not play it, sure, but tit's the same as a store telling people to "Get the forget out and never come back" if the person doesn't like something.

no need to get buttmad

Wizzeh:

Look, the lighting is a "problem" that doesn't need to and won't be fixed, and the wall glitch thing isn't something we can do anything about (especially since it's already resolved). We don't host this stuff for your benefit. If you have a legitimate complaint feel free to level it but know what the forget you're talking about first.

We need to designate a PR person and it needs to not be you or tigls.

I agree with those two about the lighting though, the map should be bright enough to see your way around easily, even before the introduction of lava lights or hideous arbitrary white lights around the map. On Slate Dark, neither of these conditions are met, in my opinion.

Wizzeh:

You're wrong on both counts. I'm the only one who doesn't suck up to people who are wrong and the lighting is fine.

Some background on the lighting issue:

The build, no lights, with map as is:
The build, no lights, with the ambient lighting slightly increased:

Brick lighting: Right now the build is littered with random lights using a modified ambient light datablock. The downside to this is that torque's lighting system can only handle a small number of lights - this number is somewhere around 8 - and so only the closest lights are rendered. If you've ever been in the server while it was relatively empty this creates a very obvious and unpleasant effect as you move around the map.
