Author Topic: I'm seriously getting tired of my mom bugging me about playing killing games.  (Read 19526 times)

I can run Lego Indiana Jones (horribly) but on my computer CS:S gets 2-10 fps, and on my parent's it get's 15-20 fps.

This was a writing prompt in my Freshman English class. I took the stance that killing games was an outlet for violence, further preventing violence in real-life. I personally enjoy shooting up your average Korean in Homefront, but in real-life, I couldn't hurt anyone unless it was justified.

I played Half-Life in like 2000/2001. HL2 a while later. Dats a gud game up dere

The only reason I was allowed to play M games, was because my parents knew that the violence was just pixels on a screen and I know the difference between real violence and fake violence. As for swearing, they just made sure I never said those words lol.

My parents don't generally care what I play, they just care how much it is.

I know the difference between a game and real life, and I wouldn't kill a person in real life, but my mom doesn't believe me.

Also, I was going to buy Super Mario Galaxy with my own money, but it was "too expensive".
It's my own money. Let me buy it.

You wouldnt? What if they were going to break into your house a hurtchoo? I. Would. Shoot. Them.

Just buy TF2 and turn off the blood and gore. Easy.
loel. You can have a great game and not have your mother bitching.

I won't do that, because last time I showed her something like that, she got even angrier.

Anoder gud game up dere.

You're mom probably thinks that you're not responsible with your own money.

You need to stand-up to your mother, make compromises. Pretty soon you'll be old enough to make your own choices, will your mother control your life then?
