If you are going to be so critical with the finer details of the script, perhaps you should be asking how a black guy with no shoes has the reflexes of a turtle and manages to die despite having a massive window of opportunity to shoot a man who awkwardly and slowly crawls in backwards into a room. And that is ignoring the fact he didn't help even though there was loud and obvious shooting right next to the doorway for a good 10 seconds plus.
