At the time I was only ten, I live out in the country so there's only about ten houses within a five mile radius that I could mow lawns / work at.

The government doesn't make cigarettes and tobacco illegal since they're raking in profits from the sales, and the industries are part of the government's payroll.

If they cut a big profit, they're going to lose money. And we all know we can't have that because of the stuffty economy.

TL;DR this was short and the government is run by the industries.

i would rather have marijuana illegal than cigarettes illegal. i don't want people running amok all high and stuff in the streets.

also, if you rely on a drug, you will never be able to cope with your emotions and you will be a wreck without your drug of choice being there.

Have you ever seen someone high?

Yeah, they sit around and don't do anything.

What the forget? This is not loving normal at all, you are just handicapped for starting with that stuff and now you start bragging about it?

Are you trying to create a loving steriotype for a Dutch person? The only thing the Netherlands are difrent from other countries relating smoking is that weed is decriminalized.

You are dumb, and I hope you get lungcancer.

Met vriendelijke groet,
Winner
I second that.

Propaganda.

Also, just waiting for this to turn into another stuff storm.
Pfft, it's this guy again.

Cigarettes= stupid stuffty waste of time that tastes bad and has all sorts of negative side effects.

Joint= smoking that still hurts your lungs, but not that much and makes you feel good.

and makes you feel good.
i've heard of many claims of not-good highs

i've heard of many claims of not-good highs
forget sad highs

I've heard of many non-happy smokers.

I see a lot of people complaining about how cigarettes are disgusting, smell bad, turn your lungs black, blah blah.  Then they turn right around and suggest smoking marijuana.  It has the same effect on your appearance/lungs/spit as cigarettes.  The only negative stigma associated with cigarettes that I understand so far according to this topic is that big mean corporations want to kill their clientele!

Where I get my point of view: spent a good deal of time experimenting with recreational marijuana use in college.  Enjoyed it.  Stopped doing it my junior year and never did it again.  Was more detrimental to my health and lifestyle than any other form of smoking.

Have smoked cigarettes on occasion when drunk.  No residual side-effects (not addicted).  No desire to buy or consume otherwise.

Currently smoke cigars on the weekends and have done so for the past five years.  Dentist regularly reports above average gum and tooth health.  In good cardiovascular condition.

What I am trying to get at it is do not be so quick to dismiss smoking or smokers based on what you have heard from other people.  Until you actually give it a try, you have no ground to stand on.
