I concur, if he said Christianity was stupid, that would be at least semi-legitimate, since that would be his opinion. But you can't really just call a huge group of people idiots, without obviously trying to tick people off.

I pointed out misconceptions.  You are giving up on something that may help you in the future, you are making decisions with little knowledge with what you are dealing with.

Do you know how much religion effects people, especially on a forum?  We can't properly discuss it because this forums has little knowledge of it, has different arguing styles, etc.  You can't properly talk about it.

I believe it helps with setting moral standard.  I believe when you pray when you are in need, Jesus is there for you.  It is comforting to pray for someone in need because it does help them.

I am definitely not the person to talk to when it comes to my answer being a primary source for religious incite, but this is primarly why I believe in it.
