-loving long stuff argument-
Why did you bump this, I wanted it to die.
Nobot you didn't share all the facts. When you gave IcyGamma the mod, you gave it completely for free to him. No trade no nothing, just because he's "Cool", and you wanted to get on his goodside because he's famous
I did share most of the facts.
Do I need to trade? Is it my fault that Owl wanted to give me Audiosurf and I said yes because he ripped himself off?
I didn't only do it because he is cool. I couldn't host at the time and I can give the mod to whoever i want. Just because I gave it to Icygamma doesn't mean I gave it to him because he is famous. Also, Icygamma was a big fan of the mod and wanted to host it but i couldn't. I asked him if he could host it because I was bored and he said he wouldn't give it out.
because your not really friends with him, now I do realize that you guys wanted to play Murder Mystery but you couldn't because your server wasn't working.
How would you know if I wasn't friends with Icygamma? Even if i wasn't I wanted him to host it and he seemed more trustworthy then most Blockheads out there.
But before this Owl wanted Murder Mystery, but no, you didn't give it to him for free, you said that you guys would make a trade for Murder Mystery. So Owl offered to buy you "Audio Surf"
At first I said no, meaning I didn't say I was going to trade. Owl insisted that we trade for it because he said he had like $300.
He wanted to give me Audiosurf and i agreed. I didn't expect him to go on a rampage and release the mod then loving start saying random stuff to me through IRC and Skype, just because I gave it to one other person.
the ten dollar game you wanted, at first Nobot you thought he was joking but even if he was you should of said something like "No that's ok, we'll just trade mods or something". But you didn't and before you knew it Owl bought you the game, and with the deal still in play you gave him Murder Mystery.
I was going to buy it but Owl had already gifted it to me, it was too late to say no.
The rest of that quote states the obvious.
In my mind you should of gave him something else just because he was nice enough to buy the game for you.
I do agree with you on that but if a guy offered to give you a game you wanted just for a mod I think you would agree to get the game.
But being Nobot you didn't. Owl has every right to be angry, because you gave someone you didn't know very well the mod for free, where as you didn't for your own friend.
So you are agreeing with a guy who got upset after I gave it to one other person who most likely wont give it out, raged, then released a private mod without permission, he did all that over a loving mod.
If one of you guys were Owl, you would of been pissed of the same. Now I understand that Owl was stupid for releasing Murder Mystery, but give him a break he was sad. Now I don't know whose side I'm on because both sides have thorough stories. Both of them are my friends, and both of them made mistakes.
Yes people would have been pissed but first off they surely wouldn't go berzerk and release the mod, that was stupid on Owl's part.
He was sad? Most likely he was angry and didn't understand exactly what he was about to get himself into.
You seem as if your are taking Owl's side because most of the explanation there was about how Owl has the right to be upset.
Which he does, but whatever. Thanks for bumping an old topic.
