Gizmo, I don't understand where you are coming from with this. My building standards can only help improve the project, and they are "top notch". The ship design is not crappily made, so please do not try to flame the project by insulting what we are trying to replicate. That simply is uncalled for, and frankly you do not seem to understand what we are doing.

I don't know whether or not you have yet figured it out already, but what we are building here is a replica of a spaceship from a science fiction television show written nearly 45 years ago, in the 1960s. The starship Enterprise in the original Star Trek television series represents what people in the '60s envisioned future spacecraft as being like.

This ship is being built from the perspective of another era. I do not personally care whether or not you think "they" know how to make space tech look cool, but please realize that this is not some brand new ship design we are trying to make, and that we cannot cater to any personal demands as to what the ship should be like. You are judging our work based on standards that don't even apply to what we are making.
Gizmo.:
That is why I'm saying the building standards don't really need to be high. It doesn't take to much skill to just replicate something unless it is some crazy shape.

This just isn't my thing, so I won't post unless it is a good thing.

They do need to be high, and you have to realize that it takes a great deal of skill to replicate something, and even more to improvise. There are a lot of different ways the ship could have been built, so no, low standards would be stupid and nothing would add up right in the end. I am building it the way Captain C primarily wanted it to be, and I personally really like it.

I know what I am doing here, Gizmo. The build is supposed to be classical, and you are approaching and judging it based on modern day perspectives and of what you want it to be, rather than what it truly is. That simply is inappropriate and doesn't work.

I don't mean to offend you, I am just trying to explain.

Nice also Hello I'm a friend of Plant/The cable guy and I would like to join the project although I'm not very good at building I am good at eventing.

I disagree :P
No but seriously; replicating something can be both easy and incredibly hard. You don't need much imagination to come up with the build (cause it's based of something real), but it can be challenging to make it work in Blockland. In some cases it's just plain impossible. (trust me, I've been there. The reasons for the problems fall under the "crazy shape" category though)
