--- Quote from: Dissolve on August 07, 2011, 04:05:51 PM ---You don't know what it's like to be deaf either! Though if you are deaf you know grammar in which case you proved my point. Again: There is nothing stopping him from learning the grammar of a language, just something slowing him down. --- End quote --- The only thing that you're right about is that I know nothing about being deaf. Just leave Furling alone and stop being an idiot. |

--- Quote from: DontCare4Free on August 07, 2011, 03:15:57 PM ---A in ASL = American. Since the primary american language is English, you would at least expect them to model their sign language after English. --- End quote --- I'm sure they did, but using hands to talk is different than using a mouth. Eh, I've never done much sign language so I don't know all the details. |

--- Quote from: Dissolve on August 07, 2011, 03:34:56 PM ---See my only problem is that he already knows English to a huge degree. --- End quote --- Knowing how to READ it is completely different than knowing how to write it. I bet you can read all sorts of words, yet you probably can't spell them, if you're not looking at them. Also, in regards to reading and hearing, I personally "hear" them in my head as I read. Furling doesn't know what that sounds like, so he can't. I'm not entirely certain what reading is like to him, but it's different than for you, or I. (I mostly just skimmed through the posts not by Dissolve, so if either thing has been stated, forgive me.) --- Quote from: Chrono on August 07, 2011, 03:57:29 PM ---When did Stocking become awesome? --- End quote --- About the same time Dissolve turned into a huge moron, it would seem. |
