Not sure if this belongs in coding help or not but whatever.
How would I recolor 2 different groups and/or nodes on 1 model in the itemData and the shapeBaseImageData datablocks?

Items don't have nodes, therefor you cannot recolor different groups on it

Startling new development, apparently its possible to hide an items nodes, just hidenode("ALL"); doesen't work, but in place, you could use setnodecolor instead
