GNR has some excellent songs, I've listened to it throughout almost three full playthroughs now and I'm still not tired of 'em, I just never really liked much of the music in FONV

They've got all the songs from GNR on the wiki, lyrics too

I have to agree, Fallout NV doesn't really have anything worth listening to more than once. In Fallout 3 it was perfect, it helped set the atmosphere.

This.
Gear:
I prefer New Vegas because of the better weapon balancing /variety of weapons.
The 10mm in Fallout 3 looked like a badass weapon but it did a ridicolous low amount of damage.
Let's not forget the lack of proper iron sights and weapon modifications FO3.
Finally in Fallout : New Vegas there are significally better "unique" weapons compared to the ones in Fallout 3 which are nothing but the normal versions of the weapon with a different name and a bit more damage. In NV they get unique looks and other special things.

The point of the New Vegas songs was that it was supposed to be western themed. FO3 was in the Capital Wasteland, more of a 60's feel.

"HEAD CRIPPLED!" *another headshot* *the person's head falls off* "Dafuq?"

It's a top-down post-apoc turn based RPG turned F/TPS that takes place in an alternate universe where the world is a nuclear apocalypse as someone in the 60's would have thought of it and more than slightly based on Mad Max. Yeah, there's definitely realism there. And if you REALLY need an explanation...

'30s*
Note also how everything in D.C. was Art Deco.
Might be why I like it so much.
