Man 2:
I actually find the laser pistol works well for stealth. It emits no light, is reasonably powerful, ammo is relatively easy to come by, and for some reason my enemies don't seem to react to it as strongly as they would to, say, a 10mm SMG. Crit chance is raised, and a critical hit reduces the victim to a smouldering pile of ash while not damaging the items in the victim's inventory.

A laser rifle with all three mods is basically a sniper. I've been kicking some ass with it.
