I like my Deathclaw gauntlet. It makes me feel like Freddy Kreuger.
And the Ghoul Mask and Shady Hat work wonders with that.

I usually use a Scoped/extended mag hunting rifle with a Tri-beam laser rifle as a secondary

Once again, I prefer hearing the small solid piece of metal leaving the end of my rifle at astounding velocities, and then leaving a nice hole in whatever I shot at.
You just can't get that with energy weapons or melee weapons.

Yes, but you get a badass cinematic of your character punching an enemy so hard that his limbs go flying to kingdom come in slow-motion when in V.A.T.S with a melee weapon.
