What I didn't like about fallout 3 is that faction clothing never disguised you as that faction.

You didn't not like that until you played New Vegas.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the disguise system because it keeps me from wearing some of the cooler looking armors without it pissing off the wrong people.

The only time I ever wore Faction armor was when I needed to wear Khan armor for that one quest.

Are you talking about that one junk settlement outside of Freeside?
If so, I just found out last weekend.
