Have you just been autoattacking this whole time. If so, you've missed literally ALL of the fun.
EDIT: It's like shift A or something, then you can press enter or something to go into wrestle mode.

one time i had to take down 4 monsters in a cave.
i had a mortal wound and was covered in blood and my spear had guts on it
