I'm probably going to start up a fortress mode game. I'll use that silly tutorial.

Extrude:

It's very helpful, but after you learn how to make furniture and use stockpiles it's pretty much useless.

Stone blocks can be put into bins, but rough stones can't. Set a garbage dump by placing an area set as a garbage dump with (i), then paint the space, then enter, then press (g). After that, designate stones with d-b-d to be dumped and your dwarves will toss them into the garbage dump, which can be a single 1x1 space and it can hold infinite amounts of stone.

The only problem with that is that ALL stone gets placed in there, even the stuff that contains ores. However, since it requires infinitely less space than just stockpiling it. I guess banning things from the bin isn't that bad.

Oh, I already know all of that lol.

EDIT: Is there any way to build something outside of my embark location?
